Emma Chodur & Arnaud Bouhaniche Named Jersey Mike’s Student-Athletes of the Week

College of the Canyons student-athletes Emma Chodur (women's tennis) and Arnaud Bouhaniche (men's golf) have been named the Jersey Mike's COC Athletic Department's Women's & Men's Student-Athletes of the Week for the period running Feb. 23-28. Chodur and Bouhaniche are the sixth set of honorees for the 2026 winter/spring period.

Chodur continued her undefeated singles streak with a pair of conference wins while also tasting victory in both of her doubles matches.

The freshman, who placed fifth in the nation at the annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup last fall, has continued that success with a hot start to the spring season.

In the Cougars' home loss to Santa Barbara City College on Feb. 24, Chodur provided a bright spot with a convincing singles victory (6-1, 6-1) from the No. 1 position. She also teamed with sophomore Baylee Renfro to claim an 8-2 doubles win in the No. 1 doubles match.

Two days later, Chodur was on the road at Ventura College helping the Cougars to a 5-4 team win while improving to 8-0 in singles play with scores of 6-1 & 6-0. She also teamed with Renfro once again for a successful 8-3 doubles run, the duo's fifth straight to improve to 5-3 on the year.

Arnaud Bouhaniche / Men's Golf

Bouhaniche turned in his best round of the season to earn medalist honors at the Riverside City College Invitational played at Victoria Country Club on Feb. 23.

The freshman from Cannes, France finished two-under-par for the day with his round of 70, winning the event by one shot.

Bouhaniche's score was part of a four-player tally (290) that placed COC second in the field of 15 competing teams from across the state. Reedley College (289) won the event by just one stroke over the Cougars.
