Reid Farrell Earns All-State & All-American Honors

College of the Canyons sophomore outfielder Reid Farrell has been named to both the 2026 California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) All-State team and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-American Team, capping a two-year run of excellence for the Fresno State bound student-athlete.

Farrell was one of 20 student-athletes from the Southern California region to earn All-State accolades, with only three of those selections coming from the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division. He was also named to the ABCA/Rawling Pacific Association All-America Third Team, comprised of junior college players from the 3C2A  and the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC).

The Valencia High School grad led the Cougars with a .369 batting average and tied for the team lead with 11 home runs. His 13 doubles were also a team high as were his 53 RBIs and 62 hits.

Farrell's .455 on-base percentage was tops on the club among eligible candidates. He also slugged .643 to lead the Cougars, while his 45 runs scored and 108 total bases were both team bests.

He earned All-Western State Conference (WSC) accolades for a second straight year and was one of six Student-Athlete Academic Excellence Award winners honored during the COC athletic department's annual awards banquet.

Additionally, Farrell was one of six Cougars named to the 2026 CCCBCA Academic All-State Team with his 3.9 GPA representing the squad's top mark.

Last month, Reid announced his commitment to the Fresno State baseball program, becoming the first player from the 2026 club to ink with a four-year school.

"I was super blessed to have had the opportunity to play for Coach Cota at COC," commented Farrell at the time.
