No. 2 College of the Canyons scored its lone goal in the 71st minute to push past visiting Santa Monica College 1-0 on Friday.
The victory put Canyons (10-1, 4-1) back in the win column following a 1-0 road loss at West L.A. College earlier in the week.
Williamson's goal, her sixth of the season, came from an assist by Kennedy Crone. Williamson continues to lead the team with 19 points (six goals/seven assists). Her six goals are tied with Leila Sadra for the team lead.
COC goalkeeper Rebecca Ferguson (10-1) recorded eight saves in the game to claim her seventh clean sheet.
The Cougars logged 14 total shots in the game and earned eight corner kicks.
Santa Monica (6-4-2, 2-2-1) saw goalkeeper Jacinda Hevesy-Rodriguiz take the loss despite seven saves of her own.
Canyons continues to lead the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division standings.
The Cougars next travel to Antelope Valley College at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, with inclement weather expected in the forecast.
