SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The No. 23 College of the Canyons volleyball team defeated Antelope Valley 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-23) in both team's conference opener on Friday night at the Cougar Cage.
Freshman Serena LeDuff led the Cougars with 15 kills and 11 digs on the night. Freshman Lauren Underwood notched nine kills, while Amanda Abesamis and Camari McWright tallied four each, of their own. Sophomore Jordan Carter had 34 assists and Sage Hernandez, McWright and Abesamis tallied one block each.
The Cougars return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 9, as they travel to West L.A. for a 6 p.m. conference match up.
